The Missouri House of Representatives today debated the first piece of business- HCS House Concurrent Resolution 18 – a nonbinding resolution opposing federal health care reform legislation.
Never mind that there actually ISN’T a real health care reform bill or that the resolution has no legislative impact in regard to any federal health care reform.
We spent several hours apparently to make political statements to mobilize a base of voters in 2010. No other explanations make sense.
Never mind that Speaker Ron Richards had promised that the first piece of legislation would be addressing insurance coverage for families dealing with autism.
I wish every voter could have been in the galleries for this spectacle lead by Rep. John Diehl of Town & Country.
Is this what you truly want us to be doing? Isn’t there some serious work to attend to?
