Primary Behind Us – Now onto the General

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

After a family vacation in August that was way too short – hello Family, remember me? – life moves on.

What a thrill to see my campaign colleage, Barbara Fraser win the Democratic nod for our State Senate race here in the 24th!   I worked tremendously hard to make sure that our senate seat will be held by a progressive woman who KNOWS how to battle and stand up for our values.

However, it was sad to see 2 great colleagues in the House  lose their primaries – Rep. Hope Whitehead and Rep. PasterJames T. Morris.  Rest assured – their work for us is not finished- not by far.

The mood is tough and the anger is hot.  But I’m not backing down from my ideals that I promised my constituents on which I would stand firm.

Help me work to keep Democrats representing our district - Congressman Russ Carnahan in D.C. and Barbara Fraser in the State Senate.  Doorknock, phone and squeeze something out of the checkbook.

You can count on me.
